VP Bobby Murphy: Hamfest 2026 and was able to walk through the school to see where we could do the Hamfest in the building, and went through the gym and not sure if the cafeteria or the gym would be better, at the momentthe cafeteria has been paid for, PowerPoint was shown for where the tailgatingcould be, will have to move all the cafeteria tables, will have a classroom fortesting, handicap accessible, moofest went really well and it was the biggestthey ever had, Budget question on how much we want to spend, ham committee on what to get for prizes, now signs to get them to the high school, GMRS is a group out of GA and is right below ham radio and above CB’s and tabled to discuss inviting, discussion was made to put fliers in windows in business,hamfest ticket prices might need to go up to $10, Kicking it with the Kids thisThursday 10/16/25 and will be putting the kids on the radio and help is alwaysneeded, Radio Net East Tn simplex net Tuesday night 830 pm

Trustee David Baker: gave info on the job ($35 form given to the

government, keeping up antennas and the radios the club has)

Old business: chili supper Nov 1st

New business: Christmas parade December 1st (rain date Dec 8th)

and try to be there by 430pm at the Athens Middle School, starts at 630 pm, bring generator/flash lights, Christmas dinner is Dec 8th at southern events, discussionon the club buying the ham and turkey, passed, members asked to bring a side dish and drinks, nominations to be voted on in November, nominations were the same for the executive board, will need a new trustee as David is stepping down, a week from Wednesday will be the Watts Bar drill/ics, possibly going to GoDaddy
