McMinn County Amateur Radio Club, Inc.

The McMinn County Amateur Radio Club, Inc. serves the McMinn County area.
The club maintains a club station at the Athens EOC with club call KG4FZR.
Additional non-club stations are located at
the McMinn County 911 Center, Athens Regional Hospital and Woods Memorial Hospital.

Regular monthly MCARC meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month at the Athens City Hall at 7:00 PM. All are welcome!

The MCARC would like to thank Volunteer Energy Cooperation ,
Athens Utilities Board and McMinn County EMA for giving us space on their towers!

Some HF frequencies we frequent are (nightly)

1.910 MHz (7-8ET PM) & 28.587 MHz (8-9ET PM) and (mornings) 3.980 MHz

 

The MCARC club station also operates as "KG4FZR-7" on APRS with digipeater!
Look for our call and the "N" digi symbol in Athens Tennessee.

The club members are active in ARES, RACES, Skywarn, MARS and participates when requested in civic duties, such as JOTA for the Boy Scouts,
the Athens Christmas Parade, Watts Bar Nuclear Plant drills,
as well as other activities.
